there are a lot of black people, a fair amount of white people, and a ton of brown/mixed people

like i've said in other threads, applying US standards of race to brazil is just gonna confuse you. not saying either country does it better (both are flawed, as all conceptions of race inherently are, and both depend on the prism of individual or localized perspective) and can take the moral high ground, it's just a different understanding
