4fossa, you never answered my question breh, what's up with do funk? Is it highly regarded, or is it looked down upon? Is it mostly the urban/favela type crowd that rocks with it, or does everybody?
Funk carioca is the famous popular music right now, along with sertanejo universitario (wich would mean "college country music", literally).
While funk usually aims at the more poor slice of the population, and sertanejo the more upper classes. Usually the partys over here play both genres. Usually the funk plays in the end. Cause it's more dirty and girls start to dance in some
positions.
People in general (actually, youngsters) are rocking those two that I said above.
I don't like both. The two styles are generic and got shytty composition. This is due to the fact that I grew up with classic hip hop. And nowadays I still prefer oldschool music in general. Even nowadays rap I usually find wack.
But theres the fact that In parties I listen to these styles (funk and sertanejo) without giving a fkk.
I just focus on doing mad shyt and hollering at girls.
