It wasn't really a vacation, I was getting ready to live down there Had two different jobs lined up ready to go, but came back to the US because my family talked me out of it.

I was on a tourist visa and already did one extension and 6 months was the limit so I had to come back anyway, but I was going to return with a work visa so I could stay longer and then eventually expatriate. I'd much rather live in your country than the US, as many problems as yall have down there, I think the US has even worse problems since the issues are an actual part of the culture here.

Misery loves company, you should have stayed there if that's what you really wanted. A lot of times people will talk you out of what you really want, because they want you to settle or even fail like they did. Even your own family will do that shyt to you. My advice is to get back down there asap and live your life.
