I shyt on Rick Ross, Future and other rappers for glorifying the use/selling of drugs, gangsta fairytales, gangbanging, etc...
Then I turn around and listen to underground rappers that talk about the exact same shyt...
first off before this turns into a dap party for a "lets shyt on underground artists thread" lets
get some clarification on some things
first off what artists are you talking about?
there is an artistic way way to approach certain topics and that is what
the underground artists usually capitalize on
when rick ross or whoever has a gun song it dont sound like "i gave u power" by nas
also future is a horrible artist and unless your listening to the trash of the underground
im not sure why you would bring up an artist who has no lyrics or substance.
also doesnt action stand for something? some of these mainstream artists
talk shyt about things they know not of, way more than underground artists
the difference between Que- O.G. Bobby Johnson and Onyx- Wake the Fck Up
both about guns, crime, violence etc.
but Que's standout line is "Man these young nikkas misguided"
the underground usually expands on this idea more
