It honestly does though, unless you didn't listen/like The Chronic/2001/N.W.A work, it's vital qualities to make good music. Rapping in itself is a skill and a gift (even if you don't write your own lyrics). BUT obviously if you don't write ANY of your own lyrics then you have points taken away from you when it comes to greatest lists and such and that's 1 of the reasons Dre isn't really listed on many greatest lists very high, but in terms of being important to the classic music he made it's VITAL and matters HUGELY. If Dre had an awful wack voice and couldn't rap as well as he could it would have ruined all his albums and the N.W.A work he rapped on. So it matters a lot, but it counts against him in terms of lists and shyt.
