I had to stop talking to a girl with that mindset. She's a nurse and I'm a respiratory therapist so we both make a similar amount of money. Both of our incomes combined would have been 140k-160k annually but she was on some her money is her money and my money is our money.

Like others have said a lot of women have brainwashed by tv and social media. This isn't the 50s and 60s where a woman could be a housewife and raise the children and a man could work one job his entire adult life without a college degree and afford a house, two cars, a family vacation, etc. Hell most black families during that time period couldn't even live that lifestyle.

A lot of people nowadays go into marriage not thinking about coming together as one but what they can get out of it for themselves.

I don't mind covering all expenses but there has to be an even exchange of skills.

And in that regard, the only type of women that I will cover all finances for are women who have social capital and the awareness to navigate the social/charitable circuit; as the result of having those skills can help increase one's networth.

I see that as an even exchange.

If a woman that I marry doesn't have social capital, that means I'm going to have to pull my own weight in that area, which is a lot of work, on top of maintaining my own professional career, so I will be contributing less financially in which she is going to have to contribute more.

She's either contributing socially or contributing financially.

And in either case, she's still responsible for maintaining the house.

That's fair. That's called being strategic in terms of mating. A lot of men don't think like that. They just see a fat ass and want to wife her up.

A woman who comes from a well-connected family or social network is much better for you in the long run than just a fat ass.
