I'm like that too when it comes to music. Born in the mid-90s but most of my favorite music/artists are from the '70s, '80s, and '90s.

My Pop and Uncle put me on when I was younger and have been listening to the older shyt ever since.

I didn’t realize as a youngster that was all about the 90’s west coast hiphop music I was raised on by my old heads when in actuality I was a fan of 70’s funk, didn’t really catch it until much later in life.

Don't feel bad. I've been listening to Delta blues since I was in high school. Muddy waters, Robert Johnson, Elmore James, and Robert Lockwood Jr usually filled my playlist. Don't even know how I got into the blues bc none of my parents listen to it. I like what I like and I don't question it

My grandfather wasn’t a music breh at all lol, but enjoyed listening to blues. Never ever heard him play a song a day in my life & not even lying when I say that. Seemed to be a Miles Davis fan though also
