I'm a proponent of the "want my old shyt, then buy my old albums" slogan and I rocked with NoYork (and all the remixes), Lasers (FOTP would get this pass, but nah), UMC, Electric Circus, Depart from Me, etc. - even 808s to me is well produced with great songwriting. Woulda been crazy with a good singer.

shyt is just for the most part musically and lyrically a weak album. The message can't save that.
This music comes off as way more just throwing shyt on the wall than a nuanced work of art. That is something Ye should be above.
Lyrically it's no worse than MBDTF. The only difference is that MBDTF had more features from guys like Jay, Pusha, and Raekwon. Yeezy's pretty much the same on this one.
