Hmm.. Why does God allow suffering?


It's such an age-old question that there's a name for the subject: theodicy.

It's debated on campuses across the nation on a yearly basis fam..

Life is simply a learning game. Evil & suffering exist to give us a freewill option to choose love and God.

I dont even believe people are 'bad'...

Think of it like Madden create a player.
If God gives a player a 0 score for self control and a 24 for sexual morality, what should anyone expect of said person?

Most of us had 1 person who came along when we were too young to correct our 0 self control score and keep us out of jail until we got wise enough to make smarter decisions...

And if he does, he doesn't really care about us down here.

What other reason could it be for the suffering and sin that we are susceptible to. Why must a child starve? Murder? Rape? What is the reason for these things?? I have asked God and Jesus to enter my heart and soul, because I would like to experience the relationship that my pastor describes having with them, you know when you walk up to the altar but to no avail. I never heard from these nikkas. Sometimes I wish God never created me. If God knows the future it he says that I will go to he'll, why the fukk create me in the first place??

Anything you believe is lower than your self that goes for animals yourself, Other people, Lower self esteem, smaller organisms people committ evil/ crimes etc. you can't say your better than a dog in any way becuase your just going off a man made concept that that's believed to be better than your own. Whose to say what's right and wrong if there is nothing higher than what you see therefore there should be nothing lower either. A person shouldnt get paid less or more or their aren't more or less attractive people etc.

I'd say this. No, I am not objectively better or higher than any other organism in the world, but in my subjective opinion (and others would probably agree) I am better than a dog in terms of intelligence. A scientist's work is subjectively more difficult and important than a fast food worker's, so they get paid more. These are all products of the human mind, and opinions. And in my opinion, there is not good evidence for the existence of a higher power, so I don't believe in one.

There are millions of species yet we are the only ones with intelligence. It's obvious an intelligent designer (god) had something to do w it.

This would be like a shark saying "We are the best swimmers and the planet is mostly water. It's obvious a water god had something to do with it." We aren't the only organisms with intelligence. Not only that, intelligence isn't necessarily "good" ... at least in any objective sense. If the objective for life is to survive and survive well...what other species has created weaponry that could end life as we know it on this planet? What other species specifically attempt to prevent reproduction? You put a higher value on intelligence as if it's the "best" attribute, but our intelligence could ultimately be our downfall if we aren't also wise.

You can't see air but it's our life line...the human brain and senses can't detect most of the shyt happening in motion (ie. energy) on this earth.

To think there's nothing above humans, the most disgusting worthless creatures to inhabit this planet, and we're all existing just to exist , is just ignorant on all counts.

I don't think of God in the way you think of God or even the way 'christians' think of God. Nothing you're telling me about the Bible is anything I don't know. Unlike most, I've read my bible cover to cover. On slavery, I don't read the KJV, because King James made that version to support enslavement due to the fact that he was already the biggest slave trader before becoming head of the church. Sucks because that's the one most people read, right? But I also know the God of the Old Testament, the one who went with people in war, not just the one that we're taught is waiting to make us millionaires in church- I don't go there btw. I know my stuff.

I believe in God because I've seen evil and things one can't explain, and I know that if that exists, the converse exists as well. There's a reason many from the diaspora still worship God. But once you've entered America or Europe, you all of a sudden turn blind to it. You all of a sudden become god.

When that other poster spoke on our ability to see being limited- and I don't think he was making an argument for the Abrahamic God exactly, but more for a higher being- he made a strong point. We can only see so much.

There are some that can see more, but even they are conflicted in terms of what is what. There are people who can speak to the dead. A few months ago someone passed and a call was made after his death from his phone that had been destroyed. And who can explain that?

But then there's this concept of free will, and also this concept that if you don't do what god tells you to you burn forever, or until the universe ends


in the end, I don't really mind what you subscribe to. I personally can't be limited by beliefs, but you can definitely do your thing
