There IS NO SUCH thing as "loyalty" when it comes to competitive professional sports. This is about millions of dollars and championship rings. People on here talking about Ray Allen moving to the "cross town rivals" as if it's a terribly dishonorable and morally corrupt decision are abso-fukking-lutely crazy:wtb: This is a man who has perfected his craft to the point where he is the greatest 3 point shooter the games yet seen? A man who has played for 16 seasons (not including Olympics and College) as a top quality professional. A man who has played through various injuries. A man who has been traded twice before and almost was again this past season. And your telling me that this Athlete or any other athlete in this sport should be chained by some bullshyt philosophy of "loyalty" and "competitive edge" by some white man in a suit who sits in the VIP section?:what: because THAT'S what Larry Bird, Dan Gilbert, and the rest of these are, white CACS upset at these athletes recognizing the potential of signing with the team which gives THEM the best opportunity to both get paid and win a championship.

fukk loyalty, fukk tradition, and fukk these CACs. Get your money Jesus, get your money Steve Nash, and go compete for your rings:takedat:

It's like comparing a nikka who grew up in the hood to nikkas who grew up in a rich neighborhood and criticizing the nikka in the hood for moving. Of course the nikka who grew up in the burbs isn't tryna move, he already lives in a great neighborhood. Only in sports is taking it upon yourself to improve your circumstances a bad thing. I honestly don't know what some of these people want out of their athletes.
