TYRONE GA!
So neither Jordan, Magic, or Bird played on super teams huh? No HOFs, no allstars, no top tier players at all right? Dem cats had absolutely no help whatsoever.

Oh and i guess Bron aint just lead his team to a fukkin championship neither right?

:comeon: wit dis revisionist history bullshyt already nikkas.

They were the CENTERPIECE of those teams drafted by those teams. The support came after the fact and got better because of those centerpieces.

However, I aint mad a bit at what is going on and all of this super team shyt. Besides, the environment today is a whole lot different than back then. All these nikkaz are friends and shyt with AAU. If they wanna buddy up together, so be it. If it gets out of hand, be sure that the next CBA will address it.

Let the Heat cook (no pun).

It went from "All they care about is money, nobody wants to win" to "All they care about is winning, why won't they take our money?"

:myman:

Cats kill me with this superteam nonsense - like we didnt have this in the 80's.
Look at the 88 Cavaliers team: Ron Harper, Daugherty, Mark Price, Ehlo. cmon man. How about the Bucks (a "low tier team") Ricky Pierce, Terry Cummings, Jeff Grayer (Fli-City what up!!) . shyt even the 88 Warriors: Mullin, Sleepy Floyd, my nikka Rod Higgins.

And these teams had all out BATTLES in the playoffs. The media conveniently forgets this...

Kareem was actually in LA on a 40+ win team before Magic arrived. Beyond that what if that support had never come? Would we look at Bird or Magic or Mike if they had played the exact same way but didn't have the HOFers to help them over the hump? What is wrong with a person chosing what team they want to be the centerpiece of and what players they want to help them?

It can't possibly get out of hand, the current CBA guarantees that. The luxury tax penalties are about to be :scusthov: and the MLE has already been cut. It's actually harder to put a "superteam" out there and keep putting it out there than it was back in the 80's. I just find it funny how shyt needs to be held in check now but HOFer after HOFer teaming up in the 80's was the "Golden Age". The way that nikkas came together doesn't change the fact that they came together or the reason for which they came together. Like this nikka Larry was  when McHale and them turned into great players or Magic was like :childplease: Kareem is too good to play with.

Ehlo?

Harper was drafted by the Cavs. Daughtery was drafted by the Cavs. Price was drafted by the Mavs and sent to the Cavs in a draft day trade.

Pierce and Cummings were traded to the Bucks in the same deal. Grayer was drafted by the Bucks.

Mullin was drafted by the Warriors. Floyd was traded to the Warriors in the middle of his rookie year. Higgins averaged 3ppg the year before he signed with the Warriors.

But Magic was drafted by the Lakers.

He didn't leave the Suns to sign with them after the Lakers eliminated them in the WCF and went on to win the championship.

This

It's like comparing a nikka who grew up in the hood to nikkas who grew up in a rich neighborhood and criticizing the nikka in the hood for moving. Of course the nikka who grew up in the burbs isn't tryna move, he already lives in a great neighborhood. Only in sports is taking it upon yourself to improve your circumstances a bad thing. I honestly don't know what some of these people want out of their athletes.

Ray playing for Boston is living in the hood?

Ray's the dude that transfers to the cross town rival after losing to them in the championship game so he can be the backup halfback
