Kareem was actually in LA on a 40+ win team before Magic arrived. Beyond that what if that support had never come? Would we look at Bird or Magic or Mike if they had played the exact same way but didn't have the HOFers to help them over the hump? What is wrong with a person chosing what team they want to be the centerpiece of and what players they want to help them?

It can't possibly get out of hand, the current CBA guarantees that. The luxury tax penalties are about to be and the MLE has already been cut. It's actually harder to put a "superteam" out there and keep putting it out there than it was back in the 80's. I just find it funny how shyt needs to be held in check now but HOFer after HOFer teaming up in the 80's was the "Golden Age". The way that nikkas came together doesn't change the fact that they came together or the reason for which they came together. Harper was drafted by the Cavs. Daughtery was drafted by the Cavs. Price was drafted by the Mavs and sent to the Cavs in a draft day trade.

Pierce and Cummings were traded to the Bucks in the same deal. Grayer was drafted by the Bucks.

Mullin was drafted by the Warriors. Floyd was traded to the Warriors in the middle of his rookie year. Higgins averaged 3ppg the year before he signed with the Warriors.
