I'm bout to be 30 soon. This is the worst era in hip hop by far.

Lol, that's literally like me taking a Nelly bar and generalizing the year 2000 with it. Y'all missing out hard. No sympathy here.

While I might not agree with a lot in this thread, I have to stop you right here fir disrespecting Nelly. Nelly was fuego when he came out and has classics. “Ride with me” will be timeless. Nelly never set out to be a super lyrical dude. He made fun music and knew his lane. Plus, dudes shyt wasn’t idiotic

Quavo and Migos fall in that very category you're describing, which is my point exactly.

OP used him as a scapegoat. I wasn't feeling that. Quavo has made tons of music. Migos have classics. No disrespect to the St Lunatics and esp country grammar, but that was just me making a point.

Falling in love with early 90s rap is anhelluva feeling
When wutang album just dropped and you thought yeah they dope but where wondering wtf they all going to drop solo?
Purple tape come through and you see gfk all over it .
You confused cuz you don't know gfk like that .
He alright but damn son I'm here for the chef.
And then being blown away on every single fukking verse .
Just mind boggling how enjoyable that was.
Listening to seemingly boring ass gza drop a 5 star album
Odb with his clown antics. Another 5 star album

On West coast .Dre signing with deathrow and dropping heat with this chronic album .But who the fukk is Doggy dog?
Wtf
Hearing deep cover first time
Lady of rage
Warren g
Eastsiders
My God too many good memories man
I guess it part of being old is you feel your generation of music was better .but damn man .this era is tridash

Classic Niccas
ringtone era will forever be the woat

what is the ringtone era??

that's like labeling the early '90s as the vanilla ice/marky mark era.

unless you were like 6-years old at the time, there was no such thing as a ringtone era.

My God this is terrible. It dawned on me when quavo said, "money long like a wide receiver cause it's going long." I'm like wow this dude probably thought that was straight fire.

I'm the same age as you breh born in 87 and I feel there is still enough good music dropping to keep my ears entertained. It's just that the majority of music I fukk with isn't getting played in the radio or mainstream coverage.

This year already we've got Evidence, Nipsey, Phonte, Prhyme, Black Panther OST, Skyzoo, Elzhi, Defari and Cozz.

That's 8 quality projects in about 12 weeks this year and there's a few I've probably forgotten. Just stay away from the Radio breh.

Nah hip hop making a comeback imo, yeah you got the bullshyt like the Tekashi's of the world but there's a lot good hip hop out there, it seems like you just listening to the radio hits.
