You can't buy them without being attached to a service is the issueThe amount of stories i heard growing up about movies being lost to annuals of time because they didn't properly store the 35mm reels at the right temps. Makes me think that the digital format actually does a better job at preserving movies.
Bluray supposedly only last up to 20 years before becoming brittle and fragile like an old piece of plastic

Man, my wife has hundreds of classics on bluray...I thoght she was foolish but these days I think it's cool to have physical copies... NO COMMERCIALS! No sound issues (Netflix sucks for this). No picture issues (Amazon Prime sucks with this for any STAR movies/shows...looks like they might have fixed it though). You paying for this shyt.
