Alright guys stay with me on this and don't clown either

So, I told yall many times that I'm part West Indian through my mom's side and that some members of that side are West Indian. Anyway :francis: Every time I ask her what part of the West Indies does our family come from she can't give me a straight answer :snoop: It's like she doesn't know. See, her mother was real dark skin with coal Black straight hair. Also, my uncle was the first one to tell me that I was of West Indian heritage. My father is full blown AA :manny: His relatives are in a small county called Emporia and has family in Philly/NY/Florida. My moms people is in NC, Delaware, D.C., and Massachusetts.

I've always been confused by this and even AncestryDNA didn't give me a clear cut answer. It gave me my ethnicity percentages and MyHeritage did too. What I still want to know is what part of the Caribbean did my peoples come from. One time my mother said Jamaica, but I don't believe it. U.S. Virgin Islands? Maybe. When I see my aunt I'm going to ask. Because she told me one time that she got her dreads because she wanted to represent her West Indian side.

Anyone else had this dilemma?

This is why when someone ask I just say AA besides both and I was raised as an AA. Caribbean side is virtually non-existent in my upbringing.

I never believed you were Jamaican.

It was as far-fetched as your parents being black panther members. :mjlol:
When they said that "my mother" I didn't either. At best we come from the U.S. or British Virgin Islands. I believe West Indian is in my bloodline though. My ethnicity percentages don't look like the typical AA. Even though I'm in the high 80s-90 percent African I have Kenyan and Egyptian blood in me. Kenyan is like 8% and Egyptian 5%. Also, the West African percents too.
