Im confused? Why do people keep claiming they are going PC for next Gen?

They're saying that because PS4 won. Alot of gamers who jumped into the console market this go round were pc gamers who stanned microsoft. Now that microsoft is finished in console gaming and will release an inferior product to Sony, they are going back home, where they belong. RTS/FPS heaven.

Disagree.....Most PC stans are valve, iD, bioware/bethesda/blizzard, old pc company people from back in the day. Nobody really stanned microsoft in any gaming sense before the Xbox and Halo. MS stans are basically Halo stans and old Sega fanboys that hated Sony for bodying the dreamcast(). There may as well be a few people that jumped from the PS2 to 360 because of how shyt the PS3 was in the beginning, but I don't think Xbox and PC fans are the same. theres no need to be, because the PC basically has all the same games Xbox getting but better version, cept Halo and a couple shytty Japanese games

i owned a ps1 and ps2

switched to Xbox 360 because ps3 was ridiculously priced

not fukking with the new Xbox because of that mandatory kinect bs (if it is true)

strongly considering moving to PC gaming because it would be a way more versatile unit overall (gaming, HTPC, real web browsing, Slingbox compatible etc)

but we'll see. I don't play online so that shyt doesn't matter to me. Plus the game mods are pretty cool. Back when I was playing NBA Live on my PC () they had roster updates, jersey and stadium mods that were pretty cool.

i'm just not really feeling the direction the consoles are going in...

Most ignorant statement ever and that's as a PC gamer myself. All those features may exist on PC but it's not centralized among a single community. Also what about the exclusive IP's?? Sure you can play Watchdogs but what about Sony First party titles or even the typical Halo? It's silly people talking about "well guess i'll get two 680's" when you know damn well you hardly can take advantage of it since most games hardly are optimized. The few games that are are kind of wack like Crysis.

$50 8 gb ram
$100 case (can be $50-150 dependin how nice of case you want)
$100 motherboard (can be $50-150 dependin what features you want)

$1050 total yea looks a lot like $2000 to me

The only people about making the jump to PC are console stans. If you have some kinda weird allegiance to Sony, MS, or Nintendo then yes playing on something completely unaffiliated with console fukkery and the fanboyism that goes along with it would definitely seem like some level shyt.

To the rest of us it seems natural to pursue another avenue of gaming. I'm a gamer first and foremost. Some of yall are just sheep for Sony, MS, and Nintendo. I wouldn't consider you a gamer any more than I'd consider some of the guys that talk about 1 rapper and only 1 rapper 24/7 in the Booth rap fans. You're a fan of the brand or the individual, not the games or the genre of music. Sony or MS stans would quit gaming if they went 3rd party. I seen the same shyt happen with Sega. How are you a gamer if you're only in it to dikk ride a brand?

I have a gaming PC and will buy one (or maybe two) of the next gen consoles. The Sony presentation didn't wow me but then again neither did the Wii-U. So it's down to MS. If they don't wow me I'll just wait for the exclusives to drop and pick a console.

I have said it before...one day I went out and calculated the average amount I spent on games and it was about $6 each.

i agree, the software is a lot cheaper. but not the hardware.

its an investment. but everyone does have $1,000+ to drop on a beautiful setup. or even $800 all at once on a pretty good setup that would get you thru most games.
