It don't melt though. It's structurally engineered to maintain that square shape. If you put a candle under that shyt it doesn't react.

American is best for the standard grilled cheese IMO also.. But! Others outshine if you're making something outside of the norm. I had a havarti with apple jam... sheesh. If it is a sandwich with any type of meat, it is what you like best.
