I don't mean to call you out or anything.... but did you just use a
stock photo to show what car you were picking up or having it shipped since the car is really far away?(I know finding the perfect used Porsche can be challenging and many are shipped many miles away to their new owner). I want to make sure you are not getting ripped off somehow. The car you have in your picture is a 987.2 aka 2009-2012 and you said you are getting 2007 which is a 987.1(2006-2008) the headlights and front bumper are different. Also I can tell by the amount of red on the taillights it is a 987.2 model as they switch to led tails instead of halogen. Also all S models have red brake calipers and those are clearly grey. So the year and trim level is all wrong. That is a 2009-2012 base model in your original post unless the old owner swapped the headlights, front bumper, and retrofitted the 987.2 led taillights onto it....
This is a 987.1 2007 S model. Look how the front bumper and headlight is different than in the original photo he posted. Look at the red brake calipers.
This is a 987.2 aka 2009-2012 s models.
Headlight difference side by side.
Regardless the cayman is a dope car and all the why not a 911 talk is for the uneducated. Porsche has to purposely hold back the cayman because it would beat a 911 easily. Mid engine is the perfect design which the cayman uses and ferrari, lambo, mclaren, lotus, all formula 1 cars etc. The only car model using rear engine is the 911 because of it's heritage and not being able to change that. the Cayman GT4 is proof the cayman destroys on the track. They took a detuned 911 S engine put it in the cayman and it beats the last generation 997 gt3 around the track. Yes I know they gave it a manual to make it more pure old school experience but a pdk transmission on the gt4 would probably further embarrass 911s. Porsche is in a conundrum. They have to keep making the 911 due to heritage and profit margin on the insane markup, but the "lesser" cayman is actually the better performing car purposely gimped to not encroach on the 911. The GT4 has the exact same engine as the 911 s but is purposely given 15hp less. Porsche some fukboys for that. Don't let anyway tell you why not a 911. They not informed.
