Here's the situation,

Lost a bunch of weight a couple years ago and thought "the easy part is over, I can slack off some cause I'll never gain it back"... and ended up gaining it back.

So here I am, fat and tired. Taking naps all day cause I have zero energy and spending all my money on food and ubers. Basically, I'm devolving :dead:

I have a 12 week beginners weight training routine that I'm gonna start (I'll write it out later if anybody is interested) + cardio + a 1500 calorie diet

Not gonna share my starting weight at the moment but I will be using this thread as a log to track workouts and changes in diet.

Let's see how this goes...

Good luck. Maintaining a consistent routine is the hardest part about fitness.

Stay true to your diet. It makes all the difference. Your brain will be screaming at you telling you to eat the greasiest fattiest fried foods you can find but either give yourself a cheat day or stay away completely.

:wow: once Koolaid starts giving up on you, you know it's bad.

Historically, cheats days have proven not to be my friend. I'm gonna try to avoid them for now or at the very least "cheat" with something that isn't ice cream and cookies. My sweet tooth is a fool.

I don't care for sweets but when I went on a month long diet I had cravings for the most unhealthiest things simply because my brain felt it got tricked and decided to rebel against me. The moment you say you're going on a diet your brain is going

Your dreams
Apples apples apples!!!

They helped me in my loose weight.

If I crave something sweet get some sweet apples.

Craving something salty... well the best is a "tangy" green apple.

If you feel the need to eat coz your body just wants to chew and swallow then eat a a lot of apples they will fill you up.

Just buy a different type everytime you go to the store.

Or get whatever fruit you can stand to eat a lot of.

I chose apples coz I knew if I decided to mix it up I'd slip up.

Have a variety of foods not just apples. Apples should be to help you skip a meal or fight cravings.

Oh and buy smaller plates. It works. You will have smaller portions. And if you cook male sure you cook enough for one serving. Its hard to sleep with leftovers screaming your name from the fridge.

The most evil of all is fast food, order the smallest portion available, leave and go home and fight the urge to order in.

And also you just need to have will power.

I cant post before and after pics here but this helped me a LOT.

Just finished my pilates class. When it started I was like ":leon: this is cute, getting a nice stretch" but she told us to add resistance and it was over with lmaooo

It was fun tho, plus the instructor is black so I'm hype off that alone.

Don't set any time limits, try creating better habits. Once you get your eating down and start exercising regularly, you will see results. The amount of time it takes depends on how long it takes you to get on board. It's easy but it's hard af too. Not everyday will be a good day so set a minimum for yourself. For instance, at the very least I'll get 30 minutes of exercise a day. I try to aim for over an hour, but if the day is just shyt then 30 minutes is all I'm giving it. I'm still developing structure around food. Right now , two meals a day and a snack works through the week, but not on weekends. I try to do raw food vegan meals at least for two of those meals, but some days I just shoot for low carb and I'll add chicken. I know generally low carb works best, so I limit them at each meal.

Yoooooo so I just went thru my card statement and calculated each uber + fastfood purchase and I'm appalled. I'm finna be the most walking, at home eating mf on the planet. I would save so much money.

Also, kept to my calorie limit this week. Next weeks goal is to add on gym days. I already have swim lessons and a pilates class every week so I'll fit my workout plan in with those somehow.
