Em is garbage now but to say black people didnt fukk with him is rewriting history.

fukk with him is a strong statement. As an unbias narrarator i will tell you the truth. When Eminem first came out he got play in the hood due to HYPE. On some "You gotta hear this crazy ass white boy who can rap his ass off:krs:". I rember being in school and we were passing the headphones around listening to him. But that wore off,and you didnt just have nikkas going around bumping his music as fans. Not from what I saw and heard at least. Of course you had backpackers/hiphopheads who dont count in this discussion.

:mjlol:Still on that “the hood/bytches don’t listen to (insert rapper’s) music” lol.

The lowest common denominator that doesn't like the basic elements of lyricism. Pretty soon, Boosie gonna diss the likes of Scarface and Ghostface Killah or even Rakim.

When Em was out a lot of people still listened to terrestrial radio, Em songs and features would def be in rotation. Forgot about Dre, The way I am and even other little shyt would make it into the mixes even if they switched the beat up a bit at times.

And its funny that people talk about Eminem not being bumped in the hood and the people making that claim stay in Eminem threads making that same claim. Eminem is one of the most discussed artists on here. He hasn't put out a new album since 2020. Yet, he still drives discussion and most of it is old talking points about the same BS that's been discussed since The Booth has existed. What does this have to do with Eminem getting played in the hood? You never see mentions of a Jack Harlow or a Post Malone by ANYONE. Eminem still gets mention in Top 10 lists even though the music has been sub par. I still remember Eightball and MJG talking about Em's music. I remember being one of the few that ain't like Eminem. I remember C Murder wanting an Em feature on Trapped In Crime.

I've told this story before, but the weekend Kamikaze came out, I heard "Just Don't Give a fukk" playing at the gas station. The next day, I heard "The Ringer" blasting out of someone's car. Those are the only two times I distinctly remember hearing Eminem's music outside, but it still happened.

I don't know why people think it's such a bizarre concept for Eminem's music to be played in public. Especially his earlier stuff.

It’s revisionist history but Eminem did it to himself by leaning more into his white trash fanbase as he aged. It is what it is
Em is still a legend and boosie is not though. Who is really listening to boosie music in 2024, he can barely sell 300 records.

He still can’t sell records though.

Who's actually selling any records in 2024? Those stats are cooked just as much as streams are. The entire system is broken, that's why last year things were down. It's gonna keep continuing from the looks of it.

Boosie never dissed Eminem, he said he gave him credit for being able to spit and liked some of his songs. He just primarily heard his stuff on MTV. He wasn’t riding around bumping his shyt and never bought his CD’s or heard his music playing in his hood.
Same here lol. That’s not a diss & I’m sure it applies to black artist too. Stop getting in y’all feeling cuz nikkas don’t have Eminem in their top 5. It’s subjective, everyone is entitled to an opinion
