Yes sir. I just mentioned your situation to my wife, man. Reading your comments in here really touched me, man, and I'm hopeful that you make a full 100% recovery.
Yeah it’s been real. It’s an emotional, physical and mental road to recovery.

i know a lot of people with epilepsy look at this surgery as a cure from all their pain but, this shyt ain’t for the weak. If you don’t have a strong support system around you it could be rough.

Appreciate you sharing your random thoughts as you go thru the recovery on some dear diary shyt. It comes across real raw and direct.

Wishing you a continued successful recovery :salute:

Are there any lessons you've come to realize during the recovery?

Thanks breh. Man it’s a lot of things I’ve learned that sound cliche but are real

1) family over everything
2)memories are what makes us. They cut into my hippocampus and directly afterwards for a couple of days I was confused about everything that made me,me. Slowly things started to come back and I was less confused. The less confused I was, the more I felt like myself cuz I could remember my metro line, lines from my favorite movies, etc. i still can’t remember my anniversary though :merchant:.
3) self confidence is key. Physically: My skin has always been great.:myman: Now I have to live with these scars on the side of my face. Initially that shyt was hard to deal with. To the point where I almost lost confidence. But a few weeks ago I just said fukk it and accepted this is who I am now.:yeshrug:
4) I learned patience & self control from the example of others. I ask the same questions sometimes over & over cuz my memory isn’t as sharp as it will be (still a work in progress) but despite that, they never got mad at me.
5) watch out for fake friends.
6) try to fill your mind up with as much positivity as possible
7) set goals
8) rest is important (melatonin is that shyt)
9) be easy on yourself
