I'm getting vaccinated today after work and I'm nervous as hell.

I am finally doing it. I've been reading about the vaccines and how it has affected people. The side effects are the usual that you would get from any other vaccine. What makes me nervous is the fact that you could have some inflammation around the heart. Which I know is rare, but still.. I will be receiving the Phizer vaccine. Anything I should do or get for after the fact?

Edit: Went to Walgreens, cute woman at the pharmacy desk with locs and a beautiful body.(Girls like girls too) Get in there, ol boy who administers the shot pulls up with this long ass needle and says they were out of the small ones. :martin: I was all shaky and shyt. But it's done. :bryan:

Do you have any history of heart problems in your family that you're worried about?

Edit: I had an error & couldn't fix my post.

Hydrate, that's it. Tell the person doing it not to jam the needle in deep into your muscle. That's how you get that annoying arm pain and swelling.

What are you scared of? I'm double vaxxed and boosted. The first shot had me tired with a slight headache but nothing for the others. My mom is double vaxxed and boosted and had zero symptoms for all the shots

Just rest for a couple of days. And buy some tylenol in case you get some strong reactions.

My doctor suggested not doing any cardio for a few days after getting the shot. I got each one on a Monday and he said wait until the weekend to do any cardio.. he said from cases he had seen/read about that too much exertion after the shot could increase the risk for myocarditis :yeshrug:

You will be fine tho. I had zero side effects off either shot

Moderna is the one that has been known to cause inflammation, but it's mainly confined to younger people that get the shot. It's also a temporary and mild side effect for those that got it from what I've read. Like others have said, just stay hydrated and have some tylenol handy. My first two rounds of pfizer didn't effect me at all, but the booster (pfizer) had me feeling feverish and lethargic the following day.

Honestly, I have a big fear of needles. ( Didn't even want the epidural when I was giving birth because I knew how big the needles are.) At this point, it's more nerves, uncertain about the vaccine a little and one of my close friends is in the hospital with Covid.
