I’m having a hard time understanding how someone can lose a loved one and party the same day

I’ve seen it various times now so I know it’s something I need to learn to understand. This girl I knew was celebrating her b day riding these ATVs and one of her cousins got in a serious accident and she had posted on her page about the injuries she suffered and how she’s fighting for her life, THAT SAME DAY she posting herself in the club smiling, laughing and living her best life, I’m like :mindblown: how you turning up after something like that so soon. Me and my ex got into it about it once: she was planning on goin to the club one night and she was told her aunt died and she was distraught for a sec, and posted about it on her IG but then she went to the club and partied like it never happened.

I'm working confused about why people would announce that to the world like what is the point of posting that?

Real shyt, Im surprised at adults who party or club everyday or every week. :yeshrug: like folks dont have jobs, responsibilities, saving money and shyt? I swear folks trying to do shyt that nobody out here thats really running shyt is doing thinking theyre cool when theyre looking crazy and silly. Thats not a good look.

She did that shyt because she probably in the club all the time anyway.

I’m trying to understand I’m not necessarily judging them, just kinda weird that people happy and turnt up and they just got some sad news

Even if you're going to party. At least leave it off social media. You can do that next week.

We party here in Louisiana. Best thing to do, remember the good times, play their favorite songs and love and party with ones still here.
For funerals yea but to party the same day you get some sad news is what I have a hard time understanding

people that do that are in the denial stage of death. they look for an outlet where they do not need to think about it and pretend as if it did not happen or they will wake up the next day and the outcome will have somehow changed.

i used to be confused about it to, but i have seen others do the shyt often enough and then turn into a puddle of sorrow weeks/months and sometimes even years later over close deaths. people process shyt in weird ass ways. did you know that its not uncommon for people to be extremely horny and want to have sex right after funerals? its weird as fukk but its just another way people cope.

humans are a mess
