Not everyone is good at the dating game, heaven knows I am not, and when you're just out there struggling for months, when you do meet someone, the tendency is to try to buckle down and make the thing work, even if just so you don't have to start the search all over agaaaaaain.
But OP, there's a difference between trying to make things work and letting someone walk all over you. A relationship needs 2 people to make the effort and that girl is not. She's NOT.
