Other than that, hit the fetes and eat. Tobago is beautiful and really nice i've heard. Try the KFC too. There's a roti spot by University of the West Indies. Loonnng line but it's great.

Trinidadians are warm, fun loving people but just be safe.

And the women...best in the Caribbean. Strap up.

Foreals the KFC is so much better in Trinidad and Jamaica than it is up here...and yea if you staying POS and ur not with any type of family, keep an eye out theres thieves everywhere working in groups...

There are other things to do on the island it isn't just about carnival. I know the food is going to be lit, the smoke out there is going to be piff, the vibe is going to be on point. The parties are going to be amazing. Bring it on!!!!

Stay out of st James ,Malloney parts of Arima and you'll be fine, also carful of what maxi taxi you get in.

Apart from that go see the pitch lake, chaugauans, turtle beach , try shark/ salt fish and bake. Doubles buss up shot, rotti, tamarind balls, sour sup, sorrell, guava, pomerac.

As someone residing in the caribbean this the most accurate post here.
Eat doubles, bust up shirt and channa, bake and shark, polori.. curry anything!
Do not fukk around Laventille or Beetham period. Trinidad can seriously be dangerous.
Do not play "gullible tourist" this is an island fam, not a movie. Kidnapping DOES happen.
If you meet random women be wary of what you say and do, never disclose where you stay.
Try to listen some live steel pan.. and eat at least one roti.

My friend wants to go the the pool. I wanna choke her. She doesnt wanna eat local food either. who goes on vacation to another country and only cares about going to a pool and eating KFC and shyt? I'm gonna get up and go about my business and leave her at some point I'm sure.
