I don't listen to Nikki Minaj's music but its fair to say her platform and fan base is on a different level than Remi's.
The ONLY way she would've did any damage is by making hot music and building her platform to a level as high or close to as high as the person she was dissing.
She jacked Ether's instrumental's which show's unoriginality. The Nas vs. Jay Z battle pit two rap icon's against one another. Remi's album flopped. She has made no significant impact in hip hop. People like Trina has more hits than her and CARDI B is more popular. She's on Love & Hip Hop for crying out loud
You don't make a diss record for the sake of making it. It has to have an impact. Drake's diss records were weak as hell but made an impact because of the timing of it.
Both Remi and Nikki are both luke warm status but Minaj's credentials and accomplishments are solidified at this point. Remi comes off as kind of bitter for the simple fact that she hasn't accomplished nothing since she's been out and has been reduced to being a reality star character.
Spent the first minute of that diss song talking about something everyone already knew years ago (the fake booty). shyt is sad really. She let Papoose gas her up but in the end, nothing will come from this. Pap tried to do the same thing dissing Kendrick Lamar and his album ended up going double wood.
Nas made Ether and it rejuvenated his career.
