Just stick with earth tones. Blacks and whites for those winters. Maybe throw a little color when spring arrives.
If you're into sneakers Adidas has been stepping it up, I personally like the Tubulars, but will occasionally go back and rock the Retro 5 Grapes (White or Black).

Just find something on a tumblr you like and try and put your own twist on it. Experiment a little.
Express, banana republic, H&M for cardigans, sweaters, button ups long sleeves.
Levis for jeans because they personally fit me better. Find a brand that works for you. I also wear those chino pants occasionally to work.
Dsw for wing tips, aldo for casual wear shoes. But I highly recommend dsw.
I only wear addidas (they sponsor nigeria) with the exception of roshe runs for running (flat feet) for gym wear but if you want to go cheap go to Tjmaxx.
Whatever you do, make sure every fit fits like its tailored. You can be In an Armani suit but if it's 2x too large or 2x to small you'll look horrible.
