1st tip: Dress your weight. The main problem with American Men is that collectively we wear shyt thats way too baggy. If you're in good shape, wear shyt that is flattering.
2nd tip: The basics. Fitted t-shirts (no trendy shyt with a shytton of designs), Polos, Henleys, Jeans, Sweaters, Shorts (try not to do cargos or ball shorts), Dress Shirts, Khakis......That covers the pure basics of what you need to build up a solid conservative wardrobe. One you can hold onto for 5+years as long as your weight doesn't go drastically up or down.
3rd Tip: Shoes that aren't Jordans/Adidas.

One word, OP, interchangeability. Never buy 1 item to only match another item. Also, quality > quantity.

I hate when I wear some pants/jeans that look too big sometimes in a rush to go somewhere. shyt makes me look stupid as fukk.

Can't go wrong with V-necks. Get quality ones with an aggressive collar though. Pay attention to fabric types too.

Get some chinos. They come in different colors. Khaki, grey, and navy are safe colors.
Buy some button ups, not dress shirts which are a bit more formal and the material is smoother. Light blue and white are most common. Put those together and this is how you should look.
Shoes wise, you don't need to buy a pair of $400 leather shoes. Some casual sneakers like Stan Smiths would work well enough.
Important thing is to buy clothes that say slim. Even something that's Gucci or Versace will look like shyt if it doesn't fit your frame.
