how much per hour is 100k a year... im making 28 bucks an hours its my first real job out of university but i dunno i feel like im living like a king... i think im making about 45-50k a year... but i dont club anymore... my girl kicked me to the curb... so i just dont waste my money...

Getting to 100k was not that big a deal to me cause the year before I was making 92k...
When I went from a tier 1 tech to a tier 3 engineer to a manager in the span of about a year...not that shyt was surreal...my salary went from the 50's to 92k...shyt was like

Welcome to the club. But understand that it doesn't really change much in your life. Except that you can say you hit 6 figures. Or maybe its just me. I live my life the same way and I didn't feel much richer or anything.
So what do you guys do?

50 dollars. 48 dollars minus no days missed.
If you make 20k-25k. Live like it. 30k-35k, live like you make 20k-25k. I could go on and on but the more you make, the most you can invest.

I got six years engineering experience with a Fortune 100 company. I'm also considered an expert in my line of work. I only hit six figures after my annual bonus kicks in tho. It's not my base salary. So if the company underperforms next year it will be different

Interesting article that makes sense. A lot of people focus on income from their job as if that means their financially free or something when it really means nothing in most cases. I say most cases because usually people increase their lifestyle to match that increase in salary-new car, new apartment/house, new clothes, etc. Not to mention the fact that most people who make that kind of money tend usually have a good amount of student loans to pay back. Higher education may lead to higher salary, but it also leads to a higher student loan bill.
Add to the fact that many people make that kind of money after years of being in the workforce-usually in their 30s/40s. So, they're catching up for the bills, debt and penny-pinching they had to do all throughout their 20s.
I'm not saying this to take away from the OP because making 100k is milestone and an achievement. I just don't think its as "life changing" as many would think.
Hell, my mom who makes 70k with a paid off house, paid off car and a very low key lifestyle still has to budget her money....its real out here.
