basically.

as a book about how people hundreds of years thought, sure...but as a means to order your modern life? You might as well use cave paintings.

Is your mind so robotic that you cannot draw parallels between different ways and periods of life?

If that is a viable excuse, than that means even the music of your favorite rappers go completely over your head:sitdown:

this makes no sense.

I can respect the sugar hill gang, but that doesn't mean the height of music is the sugar hill gang. :snoop:

That's not my point. You reduced it to 'the thoughts of man thousands of years ago'. What the book speaks on is the trials and tribulations that face every man that ever existed. Even you.

To not see the fact that history and situations repeat themselves over and over and over in different forms, shows that it indeed goes over your head.

As if the Willie Lynch letters have zero relevancy today. As if a mans character being assassinated for condemning d'evils of an established order, has zero relevancy today.

Smarten up nas:sitdown:

No, I'd advise you to actually attend a college-level religious studies course.

Most of what's in the Bible is completely over people's heads and they don't understand what they're reading.
bullshyt.

its all selective reading by a group of people who at this point have NO CHOICE but to try and reinterpret the bible

And you're a prime example of what "theology" has devolved into.

Theology has 'evolved' while atheism has stagnated.

That's why you use arguments that are over 1500 years old and refuted.

Would you like to be killed in a 'religion' thread....again?

This is the biggest bullshyt argument. As if an infallible book would somehow be so subject to fallacious interpretations and readings. :beli:

its not an argument because I refuse to argue with someone who 'just doesn't understand' :manny:
