I think it's fair to say college drop out and late registration are both damn near classics ... but IMO after each album he has gradually got worse. Or maybe he's just changed his style too much for a hip hop head to stay buying his music. He lost me years ago. If he stuck to his formula then I'd still listen to the guy.

Kanye is not as lyrically great as Nas, GZA or Jay Electronica. Never has been, never will be.

And while he maybe has had more impact (depending on who you ask, like in reference to Billboard charts in particular) than those three cats, so did MC Hammer (again, depending on who you ask and in reference to what you're talking about, like Billboard charts), so that's not saying much at all.
