Usually I always laugh at celebrities whining about cancel culture but in JK Rowling 's case plenty of things caused me to worry on the direction that the left is taking because of trans issues.
The NY Times legit ran a fukking ad campaign titled "Imagining Harry Potter without its creator". Of course they use a fat black woman for the ad.

Notice that for an article that says that the fandom is divided, at no point do they interview fans who agree with her or have questions about trans issues.
Plenty of publications used the same tactics making her concerns seem transphobic.
For fukk's sake when there was the reunion for the HP movies she wasn't even invited, the woman who created this universe
Only recently did the tide somewhat shift, and only because of the MASSIVE success of Hogwarts Legacy which was supposed to be boycotted.

Like plenty said in this thread, trans issues became a sort of culture war. And anyone paying a bit of attention towards the release of the game realised that the majority of people either don't give a fukk about trans issues or is not down with the "trans women are women narrative".
