I'm going to assume you live in Chicago?
Look into these Chicago Building Trades > Apprenticeship > Program Info
List of most apprenticeships available in various trades.
I see you have 2 classes to go in your general studies but imo an associate degree isn't going to help you with anything, especially if it is in general studies. But this could be good to complete if you wish to knock out general education at a 4 year program and major in something that will translate into the marketplace. Don't waste your time taking humanities or something basic that doesn't teach you a hard skillset. If you are into business I recommend accounting, if you are mathematically inclined look into some of the technology based majors.
I don't have any experience with IT and certifications but as you already know many people make a good living off their experience in IT.
Get your CDL get some experience and get a city job either through public transportation or moving shyt around for various city agencies.

Apprenticeship is your best bet at this age. Welding I hear is relatively cushy compared to electric, plumbing or carpentry. Union, lots of protections, low worker's comp resistance due to several safety control measures in place. Should be big in the Midwest.

Everybody is going to tell you not to do it because most (Black) people don't believe in Black people earning money independently without the white man feeding them crumbs, but you need to start your own business breh. What you start is up to you and where your passions lay, but nobody's gonna pay you like you pay yourself.

I struggled as well as I came to college unprepared with my GED. First of all its a mental game with math. You have to do the work over and over until the steps and equations are branded into your head, rote memory. Every single day you should be working on your math problems and equations. Read up/watch material before class so you can be up to speed and not caught off guard in class. Note taking is very important, don't write all over the place. Get a composition notebook and write mostly in pencill, scratching in pen will make reading your notes much harder. Write clear notes! You don't know how many times I need to clarify and couldn't read my own notes from a month ago. When doing your homework write neatly as well in your notebook so you got references to go back to, don't throw away any work you done to solve the equations. Just mark them wrong/right so you can know the difference and the wrong/right steps you took.
Don't let it intimidate you, its normal to take a 40mins to a hour trying to figure out a equation. When you finally get it right it will be for the better.
Lastly, don't give up and always goto class. That was my fault, I would miss class and miss important steps as math is based on building blocks.
Don't let these Asians fool you, they aren't inherently better at math, at least where I live they goto math after school programs everyday to go over material. They are constantly doing math on the daily, if you want to get over this curve you have to commit alot of time outside the classroom.
