1. End the prison industrial complex, no more profit prisons. How about we encourage our people to stop doing crimes? Then those prisons become empty buildings. Of course you know we need prisons of some form or fashion in our world right?

2. Take 1/4 of the trillion for military and you use that to fix the roads and for more construction/auto repair courses for schools in black neighborhoods.I wholeheartedly agree that less money needs to be given to the military and more to other facets of society. But hopefully you know that this is something that he just cant do on his own. Theres this little group called Congress that neds to get involved, and they are already bytchin that Obama has decreased the defense budget too much.

3. Make marijuana legal(that's Congress job to pass it, but would like if Obama would push for this) and establish nationwide dispensaries(more jobs not just for blacks, but everyone) AGREED!!!!!

4. End aid to Africa, instead replace that money to help establish infrastructure to Africa(more roads; public transport, throw money to send engineers to help Africans mine their own resources) Sounds like a good idea, although I think its lot more compex than you make it sound.

5. End wire-tapping; spying on all your web history and phone activity I agree. We do have the issue of terrorists though. Imagine if there is another 9/11 type attack and it comes out later that it could have been prevented wit wire-tapping?

6. Ban GMO's; steroids, and growth hormones from being put in our foods. Also ban using fluoride in the water we drink and bathe in. I agree but its possible other issues may arise. Some of the stuff that is done to the food inevitably keeps costs down. There needs to be a clear cost benefit analysis. If its not going to hurt me, Im not for removing it resulting in thecost of food to go way up.

7. End the TSA intrusion, no more cancer spreading rays, and limit the TSA's ability to search you. Basically you put your belongings in the x-ray, and take all objects out of your pockets. TSA should not be able to pat you down or your children. Disagree. What we go through with the TSA is nothing more than a mere annoyance. Dudes snuck on planes with bombs in their shoes and underwear breh. I'll just get to the aport earlier.

All of these are logical steps benefit blacks(nationwide and for 1 of those steps is for Africa, which has an effect of us here). I'm not asking for reparations or for Obama to end racism, I'm just asking for practical things which would help blacks and in some cases help other people who live here.

1. Most of the brothers that's up in prisons are there because of bs crack and weed charges. Selling crack or weed was purely economical, as it's rough for us to get legit jobs. Not saying, they had no choice to sell weight, but it's fairly to easy why one would turn to it when you analyse the situation. Not too mention, you got dudes in there for simply having weed, smoking weed should not be a crime.

4. Obviously one won't fix Africa's problems overnight, but hey if you send money to help build up infrastructure and send engineers(especially black engineers) to find ways for Africans to mine their own resources from now to 2043, it will go a long way to help it.

And as far as the stuff about his life not comparing to blacks, on one hand you are correct he had a very unique upbringing. But on the other hand his story is something a lot of black people can identify with. He was born to a middle class family, he didn't have his father around for most of his life. He was basically raised by his grandparents. He started his education from the bottom(he didn't have any board member or rich alumni family members to pull strings for him) he worked hard to graduate. Fell in love with and married a black woman and started his career as a communty organizer in Chicago. That is a great American success story, the one we tell our kids when we tell them they can do/be anything they want to.

Obama knows that as long as he maintains a respectable projected image of a powerful, intelligent and sophisticated black family man and reminds his supporters that he's black like them, he can completely neglect and ignore the ridiculously high black unemployment rates and the violence in Chicago and STILL get support. All he has to do is be black, be the president and not outwardly c00n.

Everything Obama has done for blacks is symbolic. Not a single act of substance; not a single meaningful measure to address poverty or black issues. Yet black folks will throw you under the bus and call you a "hater" or a "sellout" for having a heart and putting the concerns and livelihood of all those little black children slain in southside Chicago everyday and unemployed starving blacks over the Messiah Obama . Obama's personal success isn't more important than your interests/survival. If Obamacare extends to 133% of the poverty line what do you call that? But ill wait for the predictable response about how it is not going in effect until 2014 and the acting like health care does not effect us black people uninsured. Its not perfect but what does bringing down the 100:1 crack/coke ratio from 100:1 to 18:1 do? Even if not perfect, he went further than any president before him.

Like giving over 200 billion to help fund HBCU's right? I love how "black issues" always ends up applying to "poor". And I dont mean that in a messed up way or anything.
