For the most part, YES.
I'll have a beer on a hot day while working outside doing yard work or something. But call me what you want I prefer cocktails or what Americans call "fruity drinks" .Gimme a good Caïpirinha or Mojito and I'm happy.
I also appreciate straight rum, rum & Coke, or Grand Marnier. I started drinking Hennessey like a month ago and it's cool but was never into it enough to understand why it's so popular among black people. The times I had it in the past it was like meh... I prefer rum or black label.

It's an aquired taste. I don't drink much at all but I'll have a beer socially when I'm watching the game with my boys or hanging out with family. I will say that sometimes when I'm feeling exhausted after a long day or after doing some strenous activity for a prolonged period, nothing hits better than an ice cold beer. My boys mom is having her house redone, so last weekend I helped him move all the furniture and appliances into the garage. After 3 hours of wrestling couches, tables, and refrigerators, I was beat and my boy passed me a beer. That brew tasted like heaven. 
Took one for the road and had some spaghetti bake & breadsticks that the wife had cooked up along with the beer. shyt was perfect. As a whole though, I have to either be in the mood for one, or be at a social function. It's not anything I'd crave daily.

but beer is goat ... all types, I dont know many people that like dark warm beer like me
japanese beer gets you drunk quicker with the rice distill
1000s of different beers and they all taste different... its nice to float around and change up
cant do liquor as much now that I'm older, last time I drove home at 3am and got naked in my driveway because I thought I was in my bedroom ... passed out next to my car
but wait there's more....
I did that shyt twice in the same month
triple fisting that jack daniels on an empty stomach
cant do it now that im older
