I’m sorry but how is it respectable that Floyd went 50-0

Berto was a weird opponent to pick. Would've like to have seen him against a Erislandy Lara or young Spence or Thurman instead of Berto

floyd at the time said it was either going to be berto or karim mayfield...most thought he was bullshytting..it should have been kell brook to me.he was undefeated, took porter's zero, and was a champion at the time

berto got the shot because he went life and death with josesito lopez and was losing on the cards to him before he rescued himself

I was a super casual at the time so I was like who the fukk is Berto, but in Berto's recent interview with Ward he was saying Al was promising to set that fight up for a while (It was supposed to be after the Victor Ortiz fight but he lost, and Victor got the fight instead), and I think on paper Berto met the requirements for a shot even though he wasn't who people wanted.

Berto won the interim WBA title but he was on the downward slope of his career

Floyd also low key exposed Pac too

Like you never heard about Floyd juicing up but a lot of PACs fights…. That’s a legit question of was he on the juice

Nah, Thomas Hauser reported on some drug tests Floyd failed and the TUEs that they had with WADA (or was it VADA or USADA?).

Floyd also had abnormally low testosterone-to-epitestosterone ratio after the weigh. I think his team claimed it was from being dehydrated, but everyone knows that Floyd and Manny were two of the rare guys who did NOT cut a lot of weight and dehydrated to make 147.

I don’t really care at the end of the day though. I wasn’t under the impression that either Floyd nor Manny, nor their opposition, was all clean.

Floyd just won because he’s a little better, bigger, and knew how to neutralize Manny’s biggest weapons. I don’t imagine a 2010 matchups being much different other than it fought at a faster pace.

On KRS One's nose, eating sunflower seeds.
respectable Berto? :heh: Berto is trash...always been trash and fukk conor mcgregor

Muhammad Ali had his exhibitions with wrestlers and then had hard fights with Ken Norton and Earnie Shavers afterwards
:pachaha: Yes respectable. It was his last real fight against a boxer, he deserved to go out the way he wanted. Doesn’t matter who Ali fought after, he DID it and no one cared like that because it was Ali. But there’s an issue when Floyd does it at his end of his career, because he’s Floyd.

He fought those two after fighting Canelo , Maidana twice, and the Manny fight.
I don't get why ppl are upset. They were cash grabs yes but Floyd was already 38 and 40 yrs old by the time he did those fights AND he had already gave everybody the fights the fans wanted by then :what:

The only Money May era fight I really criticize was the Robert Guerrero fight and even then Ghost had positioned himself to "earn" the fight via becoming the mandatory (iirc).

People are prisoners of the moment, I got tremendous respect for bud my favorite boxer of this era, but I didn't like the disrespect I seen for Floyd.

People really forget what you've done when someone in the present starts dominating. Alot of people expose they didn't watch Floyd until the back end of his career. When Floyd destroyed a unbeaten Diego Corrales when both were the two best young featherweights people didn't see that matchup being that lopsided. Him Destroying Gatti, beating Zab so when people act like Floyd ran from challenges they don't know what they talking about.
