Forget the feminist aspect of it.
That's only going to lead to bashing.
The essence behind her words is that she is struggling to pick herself up and rise out of her situation...and when people tear her down for her past (and perhaps repeated) mistakes, it only makes it tougher.
This is a real issue that a lot of real women in America have, and what is disturbing is that unfortunately there is a large swath of the public (and the coli) whose only response/solution is to belittle and marginalize them.
I thought a part of feminism was being in control of what happens to your body as a female and now allowing people to just abuse/objectify it.the real issue is these women dont seem to know how to control what comes in or out of their vagina.
if you're broke and single with 3 kids, why add a 4th?

I spent a sincere 5 minutes trying to figure out exactly what is was she wanted to get out of that exchange other than a hug. All the details were unnecessary. Tell your case worker that stuff. The black community can't help you find your baby daddy or keep them from running away nor plan delicious nutritious meals for your 5 kids. What exactly is it that she wants? Other than applause and hugs from a group that was as speechless as I am.
