No, I'm not saying it's a brand new phrase. But it's becoming mainstream. Sorta like cap became popular mainstream. Even though people in da south been saying it. So what's the origin of this?

Probably John D. Rockefeller. He stepped on others neck to monopolize entire industries

Some Nygga from California!

The thing is....it rarely ever involves actual BUSINESS...

Exactly…. @RennisDeynolds was the first to say it.

Then @surf @FooFighters and some others adopted it and ran with it.

Soon it took off worldwide

The Truth
The first person I heard say it was kodak in his video talking about jackboy

Then florida started saying it, and it spread everywhere

I'm not saying thats definitively where it came from but that's how I saw it
Yeah i first heard Kodak say it but I wasn’t checking for the term like that then

It’s funny people saying Druski when he made a skit making fun of people who were already saying it

Semi-related but it'd be interesting to see an etymology compendium of a lot of slang and phrases in the community. For example "getting a bag" I suspect, though I don't know for sure is from this Birdman clip that went viral years ago.
