I don't give a fukk against his shots against Curry yesterday, Warriors try to make sure Curry ISN'T guarding Westbrook in games. I don't need to see highlights of a game I literally watched, when Klay wasn't in foul trouble he was on him and Curry was hiding on Roberson.

And Westbrook guards Curry every possession until they run a pick.

Just adds context to an overplayed narrative.

Roberson will spend possessions on Curry too, and because OKC is switching so often its hard to just say one guy is responsible for him. It's very much so a team effort as is always the case when you match up against a dominant superstar. I'm not really taking away from Westbrook's play in this series, he's been historically dominant and clearly is outclassing Curry, but I'm also not going to attribute the struggles of a great player to him.

Rose was 23 when he won the MVP... His ceiling was higher than Westbrook..

A healthy 28 year old Rose would've been better than Westbrook..
Westbrook was right there with Rose in 2011.

Look at the stats

Rose 25/7.7/4.1/1.0/0.6 (44FG% on 19.7 FGA) PER 23.5

Westbrook 21.9/8.2/4.6/1.9/0.4 on (44FG% on 17 FGA) PER 23.6

Curent Westbrook blows 2011 Rose out of the water. Not even a comparison.

its not all about stats..Rose was the better player, and won MVP for a reason.
in 2011 Westbrook had Durant, Ibaka and Harden..

Probably because I have.

Are you going to actually contribute to the discussion or do you not know enough NBA history to do that

I don't like debating with stans. Especially when they don't even recognize that they're stans and think they're being completely objective. Sorry your bball knowledge seems absolutely ridiculous to me, but do you.

In other words you don't have an argument. Gotcha

I'm very objective, and if you can give me a reason to not take Westbrook over Paul/Kidd/Stock/IT as a peak player then do so. There is an argument to be made and I'll accept that because none of this is factual, but you aren't even providing that.

Westbrook and roses 23 year old seasons were comparable. Your imaginary ceiling is trolling at this point

hmmm Rose was the MVP of the # 1 seed, carrying the Bulls.
Westbrook was a turnover prone, inefficient shooting player on a team with Kevin Durant, Ibaka and Harden

when truth hurts, people resort to calling people a "troll"...:yeshrug:

How soon they forget. Dude was only like 22 that season too. Cats act like he wouldn't have gotten better just like Russy did the last few years just from experience alone.

Yo:dwillhuh:

I read this comment. Then went to youtube. The top video is literally "How quickly they forget - Derrick Rose greatest plays before the injuries"

Spooky shyt :merchant:

Only point guards I'm taking over Russ are '87 Magic and '16 Curry. He's literally up there with the GOAT's in terms of peak play, Rose was not in '11
Lol, you nikkas love to react in the spur of the moment, didn't yall just learn yall lesson with Golden State being on the brink of elimination after winning 73 games? :heh:
