Not sure WTF OP was thinking with that thread. His face is plastered all over the coli so sharing intimate details about his family was never a wise move. Especially since his sister posts on LSA. I'm sure somebody from here took that info to LSA and now OP been exposed.

There’s blood-related brothers and sisters that poster on this site. It’s usually the females that aren’t roaming around here recklessly posting nudes or being sexually suggestive, thirst trapping for attention bc of men they are close to or related to keeping us in check.

I just think most of his and his sister’s issues are their parents raising them to be white-adjacent to the extreme. Not trying to start diaspora shyt off purely speculating what I have observed; but she’s an African/Nigerian LSA poster who brags about white men and has an abject disdain for black men/Black Americans which manifests itself in her attitudes towards her brother. He’s had the same issues in the past with his anti - black dialogue but had at least seen the wrongness in his ways. They both harbored a lot of contempt- he was moving past this. Now that he’s a couple of seats removed from the c00n train- that’s where an aspect of the family conflict comes to play. He’s embracing his “blackness” so to speak- but not just his race but his militancy in black affairs which is causing further division. He’s breaking away from their control, thinking for himself - he’s in late stage rebellion. He never had the chance as a teenager to have his break-free moment from parental obedience, which is also where the emotional immaturity comes to play. I saw that poster @Gold deal with some of the same in conflict with his African dad. Being involved with the family is based on conditions; combine that with the favoritism that his parents clearly have for his sister. These posters like him who post diaries of their lives (no diss) just speaking facts; you can analyze their inner conflicts. That’s why I fell back on torching him bc he’s obviously struggling with unresolved conflicts and at least he’s one of the few who admitted his wrongs instead of doing the double down or dodging accountability.

I feel the more I started embracing my blackness and my heritage the older I got, I started drifting away from them because they were trying to be white-adjacent to an extent. And the more militant I became I guess that caused some friction with them.

SOHH and the coli really help me to become a more aware and conscious black person in an anti black world. I couldn't go back to the way I was.

I never posted in your original thread but based off your posting history, and I've told you this before, it seems like you deal with mental health issues, and the way that you described your sister, going to NYC for pre-med, getting involved in a relationship, and after the relationship having went sour, retreating back to your parents and having not moved forward with her life, it obvious that she is dealing with mental health issues too.

I think it is shytty that you look down on her and would allow your relationship with her to disintegrate instead of encouraging her to get some professional help that will allow her to take the first steps to move on with her life, especially since it appears, at least to me, that you deal with internal issues yourself.

Such is life.

Your parents will be gone one day and all you will have in this world is each other.

You'll look back at this moment, and like most people who reach the end of their lives, will be filled with regret, especially at how petty and insignificant of a wedge you've allowed to grow in your relationship.

To be fair to his family, from what I remember the reason they have a strained relationship with him is because he did some cac shyt after college and gave up the prospect of a good career to pursue his dream of becoming a DJ or something like that. Got heavily involved in drugs, alcohol and all that bullshyt in the party scene.

I understand why as a parent you'd be deeply hurt and disappointed, having invested your life and resources into your kid and then watch them live irresponsibly.

He paints them in a negative light for the most part, but I remember he made a thread years ago where he admitted to all the bullshyt he did.

There are always two sides to every story. Most parents wouldn't disown a child for no reason.

I post in other sections and save my positive vibes for The Root section but unfortunately, it doesn’t get enough movement.
