I’m thinking about moving back to the south. Specifically Atlanta. Convince me why it’s a good or bad idea

Atlanta at this point would be it unless we consider Virginia the south. For Virginia it would be in the northern Virginia area.

Deep South states are no go though for me. Alabama Arkansas, Louisiana, and hell to a slightly lesser extent Florida. The cacs are too dominant in those areas for my taste.
Georgia is a part of the Deep South, though.

ATL, but rasied in DMV
If you move to ATL, try to avoid the southside altogether. Then, although Black people gonna be Black people, try to find a Black area that's more open to outsiders. Just try to avoid Black areas that try to sized you up, and hate you everytime they see you, unless you broke. And avoid Black areas that rather hold grudges on you forever, than to let you grow on them...especially if it takes too long.

I’m not moving back to Atlanta, but just south in general. But I just want to be in a bigger city for my girl’s sake tbh since the job market here in Tucson is terrible and it will be easier for her to get a job there if I get one there.

I have experienced Atlanta traffic and forgot how crazy that shyt was. So that is something to think about.

As far as staying in Az, maybe I’ll look into trying to move to phoenix but heard that have some of the same issues as Atlanta these days. But they have a lot more black folks and probably satisfy what I’m looking for.

Charlotte? Greenville/Spartanburg SC area is underrated, close to both Charlotte and ATL. Theres alot of blk people and a noticeable number of spanish speaking people around from around the Americas and the Phillipines.
