Dude's an all-time great, and he gets no respect for the work he put in.
When you look at his resumé of everything that he accomplished in his career it's laughable that people would treat him like he was some no talent hack. During his first run in WCW he had great matches on a consistent basis. People try to downplay the quality of his ring work by saying he was wrestling Flair, Steamboat, Dusty, etc. But if you listen to Flair talk about working with Lugoat he makes it known that Lex always carried his fair share of the workload.
Whether he was a babyface or a heel he always got a strong reaction from the fans, and his run with Harley Race was some of the best heel work you'll find from that time period. The only time during his career he wasn't over was due to Vince's terrible booking. Turning Lex from The Narcissist to the All-American hero with no reason was destined to fail, but as soon as he went back to WCW he was over again. I'll admit he checked out in the late 90s and was just cashing checks, but so was every other veteran in WCW at that point. It's not like Sting, Bret, or Flair were putting on classics during that time.
Lex is arguably top 10 DOA, but people are too stuck on revisionist talking points to acknowledge the fact. It's disgusting that we have people on here that consider Ultimate Warrior to be a legend and call Lex a joke when the Warrior couldn't even lace Lex's boots on his best night.
Your favorite wrestler wishes they could be as over as Lugoat was on August 4th, 1997

Breh you made your point before this....
