At the amount of people in this thread who still haven't seen "The Shield".
It's a show that gets better & better as each season goes on. I don't think I've ever watched another TV Show with as many seasons do that for the ENTIRE SERIES. In fact, I think it's sorta slept on because the best seasons are the later seasons. They really build off the storylines from the earlier seasons.

I have not started it yet. Have I lost for nor doing so?

Yes. If you've watched all these other cable crime dramas mentioned in this thread, "The Shield" is a MUST WATCH.

BB is just fluff. It's very entertaining fluff but it's just fluff. Characters are one dimensional and for the most part incredibly annoying and poorly written.

Once you've see BB once there's no need to go back.

It doesn't come close to the depth of The Sopranos or The Wire.

Anthony Anderson's role in it was so far detached and removed from anything else I've seen him in, had me shocked as fukk. Forest Whittaker's role and performance was also something else as well. So many actors were on top form in that show damn.
