Insignificant posting from an insignificant poster
Turning 34 in cinco day mayo weekend.

I haven't had a job since jan 2015 since getting the axe (took me a while to recover from the shock from that event).

Then when i thought shiit was gonna get better and i was ready to get back to work, a couple months later... Mom gets diagnosed with pan can.

Then in September mom passes away (became her care taker - that shiit was more than a job in itself, it was the most difficult thing i could ever do... so when she went, that event sent me back into a state of shock relapse.

and i feel like i've hit the bottom.

Even gained some weight in the process cuz i'm been really sad about everything.

I try not to grieve and i think i'm getting better (the holidays were tough fam, first xmas w/o her was unbearable)... but now i need to shed this weight, get a job and take my life back and do this for momma. She wouldn't have it any other way.

Track, go to the gym breh. It's never too late; find your motivation like i'm searching for mines now. We're at our prime still, i believe. More wisdom, more life and living/experience and the resources we didn't have a decade or so ago.

Let's thrive and make 2016 the year of the champion.

I've been lifting for decades.
What really sucks is getting injured and not being able to lift. Old age is nothing because weight lifting is a low-impact activity.

Trust me feel young. When you get in your 40s your age now is going to seem like the prime of your life.So keep putting in the work and it will payoff later and live your years to the maximum. :ahh:

I want to be one of those old men that's still in unbelievable shape still riding the wave that most your age fell off long ago.

:ohhh: me & @semtex turning 25 this year :wow:
I remember when yall were just lil nikkas on the block

Now @semtex rowing Corollas and u outchea fukkin every gym front desk broad in site :whoo:

I am turning 33 this year and I feel great. Big thing with age is HOPEFULLY you learn to train smarter instead of harder. I had a lot of injuries when I was young but none completely sidelined me. Now I am plugged in and making progress. Thats what its all about.

At a few of the gyms I've worked out at there have always been these old dudes who were strong and ripped. Not the biggest dudes in the gym but probably the leanest. Thats where Im trying to be. I wanna be agile and fast too.

Well, I mean, you're gonna be "old" regardless (35 ain't old though).

So you can either be old and healthy and in great shape or you can be old and sloppy and :flabbynsick:
