It’s rarely about the scent and more about who’s wearing it. Not even on some superficial “be that guy” shyt. The same scents smell slightly different when they mix with different body chemistries. Never choose your cologne based on other men or how popular it is. Go off your own experience
This. When I put Issey Miyake on my skin, every bytch I come across is liable to give me a compliment.

Its like magic :wow:

How did you figure out what worked for you? Just run through the popular ones until one stuck?
Get a lot of sample vials from dept stores or online and figure out what “notes” you dig. It took me dozens of samples from various labels over a few months to figure out I really liked iris/orris, vetiver and incense, and stuff that read unisex or was so dry in presentation that it didn’t seem ‘sporty’ or “cologne”.

On the more reasonable end of the pricing spectrum I’ve found CdG is a great source for these kinds of releases, all of ‘em are relatively straightforward while also a bit, or a lot, offbeat.

I also will never call these labels “houses” lmao, what a needless pretense for bottled chemicals.
