I realize you have to be able to write the script with the parameters of what is possible for the game designers to achieve, what are some simply yet unique game play mechanics you wish were you in games

I think in most cases game scripts are written by game programmers. You're probably better off writing your own ebook or something along those lines.
I studied how game scripts are written its not hard, google is the best tool on Earth
