I didn't really even catch that until years later.
I always enjoyed it ...but in relation to acting I'm very impressed at will pulling off a one man show so well.

Why the fukk did Hanks secure everything on that raft BUT his homey Wilson???!

I know he ain't even try to talk to that fake ass, got it at the mall type copy he had for more than 5 minutes when he was back on land too.

I agree wilson had an entire story arc. Fred had only about two scenes.
That said it's obvious that some kind of rapport had been built between Fred and Dr. Neville off screen.
Be it...

• Neville placing & dressing him,
• to daily conversations at the video store,
• etc.

...the difference was none off that build up was shown on screen would've been a nice lil character study if they had dived in on that aspect I am legend was a popcorn flick as opposed to Oscar bait so
