MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WKRC) - A man was found guilty of murdering a cashier in cold blood because he was "making his pizza with no gloves on," which he thought was "unsanitary."
Charles Leggett, 38, was found guilty of first-degree intentional murder with a dangerous weapon and being a felon in possession of a firearm on Wednesday, according to court records. The charges stem from an incident that took place on October 19, 2024, at Action Food and Liquor, as previously reported.

Leggett arrived at the store around 11:50 a.m. and ordered a pizza from the cashier. Upon noticing that the employee making the pizza was not wearing gloves, Leggett became extremely upset and started arguing with the clerk at the front of the store, 26-year-old Jamil Owies.
The employee who was making the pizza was in the back of the store at the time, but told authorities he heard Owies and Leggett arguing near the entrance. A minute later, the employee said he heard a gunshot and rushed to the front, discovering Owies "on the ground gasping for air," according to a probable cause affidavit obtained by Law&Crime.
Authorities reviewed security camera video that corroborated the employee's version of events, according to the affidavit.

"Though the video does not have audio, it is apparent the shooter is upset, and begins to motion his hands at Owies," the affidavit read. "Owies appears to argue back, and then the shooter reaches his hand into his right pocket where the handle of a handgun can be seen protruding from his pocket. The shooter then positions himself at the counter, and abruptly reaches over the counter with his right hand with the handgun in hand. The shooter puts the gun to Owies' chest, shooting Owies, and then quickly runs out of the store, as Owies falls to the ground behind the counter."
Leggett explained his reasoning in an interview with police after his arrest. He said he became upset when he "observed the worker was making his pizza with no gloves on."

"The Defendant informed Owies it was unsanitary, then Owies became loud with the Defendant and said he would do something to the Defendant," the affidavit said. "[Police] asked the Defendant what he did, and the Defendant replied 'I shot him.' The Defendant stated he only shot one time, then ran out of the store and drove to a friends house and did not tell anyone what happened. He indicated he threw the clothes he was wearing out."

what a fukking demon. if i ever have to work customer service again i might have to start packing :lupe:

its fukked up how many people are just unstable, and everyone around them knows it, but nothing can be done until they fukk up, usually ruining someone elses life in the process. an argument over a fukking pizza doesnt justify murder.

we had a guy like that here. older guy. was wandering around the library, walked up behind someone while they were reading and shot them in the back of the head. ran to a gas station and did it again.

there is no mental support for these people, they just wait until they hurt or kill someone and put them in jail forever

its only gonna get worse too :francis:
