Only thing wrong with Carter 2 was the sequencing. Tha Mobb and Hustler Muzik is prime Wayne for me and then Money On My Mind, Im a D Boy, Grown Man, amd Shooter. Still a 4/5 really good album.

I'd say a 3.5 not strong enough for a four. Shooters is that shyt tho

Wayne is far too self-absorbed and in his own little faggy skater world to ever be authentic enough to return to his roots and do a fully or majority-Mannie produced album.

You saw him in the video shoot pics. EVERYBODY reuniting for once, in the absence of B.G., also as a tribute to him, and after the money issues, beefs, disloyalty, etc between the whole CMR, EVERYONE ELSE in the video got on white tees, traditional camo, and soulja rags...What did Wayne have on?

:mindblown: and it wasn't even his video...I could see the excuse if it was...

But he chose to rock some ol fakkity ass "I gotta stand out" shyt as usual. It's just crazy to me how he can be that much of a selfsucker when he wasn't even the frontrunner back in the CMR days. Everyone knows it was a toss up between Juve and B.G...This nikka so far removed from his roots, wit the fake blood, skateboarder, faq dressing leapord print, Baby kissing fiascos...I'm pretty sure he felt awkward af in that video shoot. No hate at all, but yeah. This thread's a waste. Don't see it happening. :yeshrug:

:whoa: Juve and B.G. were the first people to get Cash Money that national success, but anybody that was truly listening to CMR like that knew how nasty Wayne was and that he would blow up one day. I'd rather listen to a pre 2000 Wayne anyday before I listen to the shyt he was doing from 2008-present.

Welp. I wasn't listening to them like that. I was speaking moreso from a "who's time it was" perspective. 1998-2000, you would've expected Juve & B.G. & Mannie to blow up. Wayne was a nice little addition, but an afterthought. I didn't sit back analyzing their lyrics to know who was better, or to even say he'd blow one day, because not for nothin, he was a child back then. I was like 11, 12, and he was 16. I wasn't checkin for Wayne lol. Bein from NY I wasn't really checkin for none of them nikkas but it was a fresh sound & I knew them nikkas had a movement that had to be respected, industry-wise. Either way, he wasn't the frontrunner in the public's eye circa 1998-2000. Potential and lyrics is a whole different story...

Wayne's first album at the end of 1999 went platinum. Wayne definitely wasn't an afterthought concerning Cash Money, Turk was an 'afterthought' although he was dope also. People were listening to Wayne, whether or not you did is something else. It's all good though, shyt is history and Wayne isn't really remembered for that shyt anyway.

C2 overrated as fukk. It was good but nikkas act like Wayne was rapping on some god like level. The rapping on c1>>>c2

and C1 was gillie's pen.

mannie better not go back there.

Do you nikkas ever shut up with them dumb azz fabrications. Gillie has never written ONE hot bar for himself let alone Wayne.

:rudy:

I knew from the 1st or 2nd listen that gillie wrote a lot of that album. long before the fallout. chit was so obvious. but let you new noobs tell it.........

you didn't even know who gillie was. prolly didn't even know who wayne was in '04 either.
