Max B was one of the biggest & revered rappers among late 80s - mid 90s babies in 2008/9 , people used to recite his songs on the regular , cats were devastated when he got knocked , maybe he got gassed on a national level but the love was already present in NYC before he got knocked

I am, but I just think dude became severely overrated once he went to jail. The million dollar baby tape was cool, the silver surfer tape was cool

but nikkas making it seem like he was some legend when he wasn't. I can name about 4-5 tapes of his that just straight up were not good at all.

I remember listening to PD3 and questioning my sanity. That shyt was that bad.

You gotta admit French was signed even before the whole Coke Wave collab popped off. There's videos of French and Kon together back in '08.



French was even saying he wanted to get Max signed to Akon with him, but instead nikkas sayin French got signed cause Max locked up.



Bigavell would be big off his talent regardless, but they both took different lanes. French was known in the industry since the mid 2000s. Max only got out in '05 and started rapping full time in '06. It would have taken him time, but by the time Vigilante Season came out, he would have made some moves.
