That could've worked too.

Bad Boy and the Ruff Ryders camp were mad connected at the time, with production and management. If they just let X do his thing, and guide his own vision production-wise, he may have sold more records on Bad Boy. Ruff Ryders producers were doing work on all the Bad Boy albums at the time anyway. But Puff told X that he didn't know if he could get him to sell. He just didn't have the vision. He was sleeping on what X could do.

I found it crazy how old nikkas Done Started Something was…it was on the bad boy mixtape in 96 that came out even before LAD dropped. Wish they would have threw BIG on that, it already had the LOX and Mase

Yup! I heard it for the first time on that same Bad Boy tape, lol.

Grease was doing mad beats for both Bad Boy and Ruff Ryders at the time. I was mad hype that they put that on an album because I wanted that "clear' quality. The mixtape joint wasn't crispy enough for me back then.

:takedat: would have spiked his blow right as his last album with Badboy was about to drop and get that publishing.
